Earbuds and other news…

Some of the earbuds that the students started the year with have gone missing while others have stopped working. Please check with your student to see if they need another pair of earbuds. They are to carry them back and forth between Ms. Good’s and Mrs. Odom’s class in their backpacks.

Dollar Tree has them for $1.25.

Valentine Party sign ups

Valentine 2023 party sign up

A pink letter was sent home yesterday regarding the Valentine party on Tuesday, February 14th at 1:00. Parents are able to attend the party and check their child out afterwards. If you would like to sign up to help, please sign and return the letter.

I have also posted a link above for the items that will need to be supplied for the party. Simply click on the item to sign up.

Each student will need to make a Valentine box/sack and buy valentine cards for all of the students in our class. Please have the box/sack and cards at school by Friday, February 10th.

If you would like to send favors and/or candy to put in the Valentine boxes/bags, that would be wonderful and much appreciated.

Thank you so much for your support!

Coming soon…

Tuesday, January 24th – 100th Day of school
Wednesday, January 25th – Early Release 11:30
Friday, January 27th- 4th grade parents can eat with their children

We are also giving our fourth graders reading assessment experiences on their Chromebooks in class. These opportunities help them become more familiar with the online testing platform and all of its features.

Last week they read the drama “Digging Up the Truth.”

I have written your student’s grade on that assignment/test as well as the number of answers they got correct out of the total number of questions.

My goal is to continue to document that in the back of their planners in order that they, and you, will be able to see how they are progressing in an online testing environment. They also use notebook paper to make notes and use their reading tools and strategies to aid in their reading comprehension.
